One topic. Different languages. Different ways of thinking.

I live and work across languages, and over the years, I have become increasingly interested not only in speaking different languages, but in what happens when we think, communicate and make sense of the world through them.

Thinking Across Languages is a video series exploring multilingualism, communication and everyday life: one language at a time.

Each video is in one language only, not because the languages need to be kept separate, but because each language can offer a different perspective, a different nuance, a different way of approaching a question.

The series moves across "my" strongest languages: Italian, German, French, Dutch and English.

The topics may be connected, but each video stands on its own. You might hear me exploring an experience in Italian, looking at a question from a different angle in German, examining language and power in French, considering sustainability in Dutch, or stepping back and bringing the different perspectives together in English.

This is multilingualism not simply as a collection of languages, but as a way of experiencing, thinking and communicating.

Because multilingualism is not simply about how many languages we speak.

It is about how languages become part of our relationships, identities, experiences and ways of communicating, and how these change throughout our lives.
